South London Gallery South London Gallery
A high profile venue in the heart of Southwark, promoting best practice, South London Gallery has had a partnership with CoolTan Arts since 2011, allowing both parties to engage new audiences and providing a platform for work created through community engagement. South London Gallery hosted a Pop-Up Workshop and Exhibition for A Postcard to the World in November 2012 which gave participants the opportunity to create and see their work displayed in a contemporary creative space.

Tate ModernTate Modern
Since 2006, CoolTan Arts have worked with Tate to plan and deliver our World Mental Health Day Walk/event. In October 2012 we staged a live intervention of A Postcard to the World at Tate Modern, promoting Olympic values in the context of World Mental Health Day. The partnership encourages wider and new audiences to the project and actively enables CoolTan Arts artists/participants to use contemporary creative space. Tate Modern has an extensive Fluxus archive and collection which has been a useful research resource for the project.

Our community partnership with previous exhibition partner, Dulwich Picture Gallery, allows CoolTan Arts to extend the audience reach of A Postcard to the World. The Gallery hosted a special Pop-Up Workshop and Exhibition for Project Participants in November 2012.

Cuming Museum
As CoolTan Arts’ neighbour in Southwark, the Cuming Museum serves our local multi-cultural/diverse community, supporting CoolTan by promoting and hosting events. We have a mutually beneficial relationship, actively using museum resources for research/projects/visits. A Postcard to the World will be exhibiting at the Cuming Museum from 7th Feb - 1st March 2013 (Private View 14th Feb).

This is a new partnership for CoolTan Arts. As the official Olympic hospital in Hackney, Homerton forms part of our Olympic Legacy Walks. The site of a large psychiatric unit providing hospital and day-care, this partnership enables A Postcard to the World to reach a service user demographic.

Centre for Better Health is based in Hackney and provides a public art gallery, participants and workshop space. Our ongoing partnership with Centre for Better Health has helped us deliver our Community Legacy Walks programme and has enabled A Postcard to the World to reach a wider audience and a service user demographic.

Hackney Museum
CoolTan Arts have been in partnership with Hackney Museum since 2010 with our Community Legacy Walks, which explore the story of the Olympics and Paralympics, what they bring to London’s Olympic Boroughs and the changes of the area. Our Postcard to the World project will form a part of the wider Mapping the Change project, when we accession a selection of postcards (subject to donation) to the museum’s permanent collection.
